CCB Peterborough is proud to work alongside people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision to break down social and systemic barriers and advocate for a more inclusive society.
Through collaboration, education, and community engagement, we support individuals to live independently, participate fully, and access the same opportunities as everyone else. We believe that inclusion begins with understanding—and that meaningful change happens when accessibility is built into the way our communities, services, and spaces are designed.
During White Cane Week, we celebrate the strength, independence, and contributions of people with vision loss, while raising awareness about the importance of accessibility and respect. The white cane is not only a mobility tool, but a symbol of independence, confidence, and the right to move safely and freely through our communities.
Together, we can challenge assumptions, remove barriers, and create a Peterborough where everyone belongs.
