About Us

The Canadian Council of the Blind Peterborough is a member driven chapter which brings together people in our community with vision loss. Membership provides inclusion, purpose, fellowship and social interaction with peers who understand and support each persons unique strengths and abilities.

Shawn Johnson. President.

"Hello, my name is Shawn Francis Johnson. I am the president of the CCB Chapter in Peterborough and proud member of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. I am pleased to work with my executive team as they are all phenomenal people. Our Chapter was established in 2016 and we have been busy doing fun outings, peer support and fundraisers. For those experiencing vision loss, please do not hesitate to reach out to us, as we are here for you!"
